‘Flamenco Fusion’ in aid of PurrPaws for Life

SASOLBURG. – Lovers of Spanish dance and music can enjoy a feast for the ears and eyes on November 10 when The Rosa Jiminez Spanish Dance Theatre, in association with PurrPaws for Life, presents ‘Flamenco Fusion’, an exciting Spanish dance show.

It is produced by Roslynne van Belkum, director and choreographer of the Rosa Jiminez Spanish Dance Theatre, based in the Vaal Triangle. This production showcases the talented junior and senior members of the Rosa Jiminez Spanish Dance Theatre.

The first half of the show draws on the influences of other cultures via music on Spanish dance whereas the second half represents a typical tabloa – a Spanish café scene that you will find in the heart of places like Seville and Madrid, Spain.

Dancers from the Montoya Spanish Dance Academy & Theatre, a company based in Pretoria, will join the Rosa Jiminez dancers on stage. The production will be staged at the Etienne Rousseau Theatre (ERT) in Sasolburg on Saturday, November 10, at 19:00.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to PurrPaws for Life.

The ‘Spanish Dancers Love Dogs” calendar for 2019 will also be on sale in the foyer of the ERT before and after the show.

Tickets cost R180 and are available through Computicket.
