The Gap Year with a difference

Lusa Social Entrepreneurship Institute is offering a Gap Year opportunity for matriculants in the Vaal Triangle with an NQF level 5 qualification in Community Development and loads of extra training equal to none in South-Africa.

“Lots of young people are not certain about their future and what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Going to the army is not really an option anymore and so many people study years to discover that the career they chose does not really satisfy them or realise that finding employment in their chosen career path is not as easy as they thought,” said Veronica Cronje of Lusa SEI.

Studying is extremely expensive and very few students finish the degree they enrolled for, either because of the high cost of studying or because they realise they don’t have the interest to finish.

A Gap Year is the ideal opportunity to explore your options, understand yourself better, to grow emotionally and spiritually and to ensure that you do make the right career choice.

After the Lusa Gap Year you will have a SETA accredited NQF level 5 qualification and a drivers licence if you don’t have one already. You will have grown as a leader and will have developed your emotional intelligence and character through these life changing self-development programmes, all at a very affordable price.

Several potential career paths will open up and you will gain new insights into the field of study within your strengths and temperament. Students will gain specialised skills in the social sector that will help them for the rest of their lives e.g. leadership skills, communications skills, conflict management, mediation, coaching, project management and many other skills.

The programme starts February 2019. Limited space is available and only people who are serious about personal growth need apply.
