SASOLBURG. – The Vaal Triangle Campus of the North West University (NWU Vaal) ruled the court on Sunday at the Harry Gwala Sport Complex in Zamdela, scoring a rare double at the Sasol NWU Vaal Annual Junior Basketball Tournament.
The men’s and women’s teams of NWU Vaal made history by winning the boys’ and girls’ final. It is also the first time that the host managed to win either title.
“NWU Vaal is extremely proud of the players and we are pleased that the structures we have put in place are reaping the rewards. We will strive to make the tournament bigger and better,” said Sean Mccallaghan, manager: sport of NWU Vaal.
