THREE RIVERS. – Ms Marina Schwartz, who assists with care for the lost Collie and Labrador that was found somewhere near Sasolburg over the festive period, thanks members of the public for their wonderful response with regards to dona-ting dog food.
The Labrador in the meantime gave birth to three puppies.
Vaalweekblad and Ster’s social media posts about the two lost dogs went viral over New Year as everyone hoped that their owners would be found.
“Unfortunately we have not had any response from the owners and are now looking at rehoming them. Before this can happen they must be sterilised. We would like to start a drive to collect enough funds to sterilise Marli (Lab mom) as a priority, and Lassie (Collie male). The pups must be vet checked, inoculated and dewormed at six weeks of age. All of this will cost a lot of money and we would appreciate any and all help to achieve this,” says Marina.
Donations could be paid directly to Three Rivers Vet Clinic account to facilitate the sterilisations and inoculations of the dogs.
