SONRA warns of attempted house robbery

SONRA, sonlandpark residents association

SONRA warns residents of Sonlandpark, after another failed attempt at a house robbery by two young suspects in Goddard street tonight.

Residents of Goddard street returned home, after entering their property a pet dog had made them aware of two young suspects hiding in the dark. It is believed that these suspects were waiting for the residents to enter their home before trying to attempt to overpower them. However after the residents were made aware of the suspects on their property, the residents tried to confront them and the suspects then chose to flee.

SONRA patrollers were quick to respond and after SONRA patrollers were given permission by residents to search properties, two suspects were quickly spotted hiding on the roof of a different residence. Patrollers and residents pursued the suspects, however were not able to catch up to them due to restrictions.

SONRA warns residents to please be aware of their surroundings, before and when entering your home. Try and light up dark areas in your garden to minimize hiding places.
